In 2018, Rony got to act in the film Crazy Rich Asians as Edison Cheng. From 2021 to 2022, he acted in the television series Young Rock as Greg Yao, and from 2021, he is acting in the television series    Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. as Dr Lee. He worked as a voice artist for the character in the television series Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun in 2020, Ten Year Old Tom in 2021, and Mulligan in 2023. In 2023, he acted in the television series History of the World, Part II as Kublai Khan, and the same year, Rony acted as Ji Gong in the series American Born Chinese.
