There are many factors involved in choosing a moving walk, both for the budget available, for the space at home, for the users’ bodyweight, and the type of training you want to do.

While for the professional ones, the equipment is represented by an AC alternating current motor or alternating current.

The latter is suitable for massive use of the machine and therefore more suitable for professionals, sportsmen or fitness lovers who use it for at least 4/5 hours or more a day.

It is better to opt for a direct current treadmill for a milder use as it is easier to manage and has lower maintenance costs than AC.

The motor’s power necessary for a correct movement on the carpet also depends on the user’s body weight. The greater the weight and the more power will be needed for optimal operation.

It is also important to consider that an engine with too low power can heat up after 15/20 minutes from the start of use, overheating and risking burning.

Furthermore, after a certain temperature, around 60-65 °, the performance decreases significantly, and the magnets begin to lose strength and become demagnetized.

 So it’s better to choose a treadmill that has few options if you want to save money but without ever giving up on a good motor.

A mechanical and electrical tool used in the house at any time of day or night must be silent to not disturb other tenants and not annoy the user.

These provide more or less long routes at different speeds, with different slopes already prepared and thanks to which you can perform a workout without stopping until the end of the time or kilometres provided.

If there is not one that meets your training needs among the pre-entered programs, there is always the possibility to proceed manually.

The speed that the treadmill can reach depends on the model chosen and the power of the motor, and the athletic ability of the user. The higher the motor power, the more it is possible to set the speed to a higher limit.

Most home treadmills are equipped with direct current motors, known as DC (direct current), while most professional treadmills are equipped with alternating current motors known as AC (alternating current).
