It is not uncommon to hear people talk about the latest smartphone or tablet on social media. However, one topic that is seldom discussed is the importance of capturing memories in the form of photographs and videos. A simple button push will have a lifelong memory immortalised in a picture.
Many people, however, are unable to purchase a quality camera due to high prices. Fortunately for many Singaporeans, there are local companies that offer affordable Razer camera. These companies offer their products at much lower prices compared to other brands which make it easier for Singaporeans to take pictures without breaking the bank.
One of the most popular local brands is Razer, a Singapore-based company that was founded in 2014 by a group of ex-Apple engineers. Its flagship camera, the Razer Blade Stealth, is now one of the more affordable cameras on the market at $1,449. The price is reasonable considering that other models in its series start at $1,799 and higher.
Razer’s first launch of its camera was with the Razer Mini Pro which retails for S$699. It is considered to be an entry level model for consumers who do not want to spend too much but still need a good quality camera. Its successor, the Blade Stealth is one of the more affordable products in the market at S$1,449.
The Razer Blade Stealth sports a 12.5-inch screen with a 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution. It comes with a backlit keyboard that can be accessed by simply sliding up the screen. The company claims that their camera will last 12 hours when in use due to its high capacity battery.
The camera comes with a 2,160 x 1,080-pixel resolution. It can shoot up to a maximum of 4,000k and can take photos in burst mode. The camera also comes with a variety of filters which can be applied to images when clicked.
The camera is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which is coupled with an 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It also comes with a 2MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. Its only drawback is its non-removable battery which does not have the option of being upgraded unlike other models in its series such as the Razer Blade Stealth Core 17 available at S$1,299.
Razer recently announced that they will be launching two new cameras in Singapore: the Razer Core Pro and the Razer Phone 2. The new models are expected to be launched on October 12 at their uniquely themed event, the Razer Central, located at Suntec City.
There is currently no information regarding the specifications of these products in Singapore but it is expected that both products will have similar specifications as its standard variants.
Other than Razer, there are other companies who offer low-cost cameras such as EZVIZ and Gamdias Solutions. Here are some of its models:
The Razer Blade Stealth is an affordable and high-quality camera that can be handled by most Singaporeans.
