He completed his studies at Sprayberry High School and then shifted to Kennesaw State University to complete his studies. He graduated in arts and history. Later in University, he developed an interest in graph design and then complete studies in graph design. He joined the Art Institute of Atlanta. To start working, he learned about woodworking at quite a young age and also learned about home improvement skills and carpentry.
