Michael Jordan was born in Cumberland Hospital in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, New York City, the United States of America. His father’s name is James R. Jordan Sr. worked as an equipment supervisor. His mother’s name is Deloris Peoples worked as a bank employee. Michael has four siblings: Deloris Jordan, James R. Jordan Jr., Larry Jordan, and Roslyn Jordan. 

He spent his early life in his birthplace Brooklyn and later moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, with his family and was brought up there. Since childhood Jordan has been interested in playing football, basketball, and baseball, he went to classes and learned basketball.
