Eric Swalwell was born in Sac City, Iowa, the United States of America. His father, Eric Nelson Swalwell, worked as a police officer in Algona, Iowa. His mother is Vicky Joe Swalwell, and there is no information about her occupation. Eric has three siblings and brothers, and he is the first child in the family. 

Eric spent his early life in his birthplace Sac City, Iowa, and after that, he moved to Dublin, California, with his family because of his father’s work and settled there. In the 2016 general election, Eric defeated Danny Reid Turner. Again, in the 2018 general election, Eric defeated Rudy Peters and sworn for his fourth time. Eric also worked on an Advanced Research Committee on the Judiciary, Subcommittee on Courts, and Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

He worked on a subcommittee on Intelligence, Modernizations, and Readiness. Apart from that, he also worked as a member of the parties like the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus, American Sikh Caucus, and the Congressional Asian Pacific Caucus.
